Cinquecentesco è l’organo della chiesa di San Francesco a Lucignano. Il suo costruttore, probabilmente di scuola senese, è un anonimo della fine del XVI secolo. Ubicato nella cantoria sopra la porta d’ingresso ha, anche in questo caso, una splendida cassa che racchiude l’organo. I registri ci riportano sempre alla classica composizione fonica di stile rinascimentale:Principale, ottava, decimaquinta, XIX e XXII, XXVI e XXIX. Scarsissime sono le notizie sulla sua storia, ma l’organo è uno dei meglio conservati della sua epoca in Italia, ascoltarlo è come fare un viaggio nel tempo

The organ of the Church of San Francesco in Lucignano dates back to the XVI century, its anonymous builder probably belonged to the school of Siena of the end of the XVI century. It is located into the chancel over the front door and it has a beautiful case holding the organ. The stops bring us back to the classic sound composition which dates back to the Renaissance: “Principale”, “ottava”, “decimaquinta”, XIX and XXII, XXVI and XXIX. The historical information about its history are very few but it is one of the best preserved organs of its period in Italy: listening to it is like having a time travel .
